Champions Hockey is proud and excited to announce that Dax MacLean and Stacy Smallman have been awarded the U16 AAA male franchise for the Fredericton area by Hockey New Brunswick.

The team will compete as the Fredericton Caps, continuing the established and respected Caps brand located in the Fredericton area, and will be led by Head Coach Dax MacLean.

​

We would also like to congratulate the Miramichi area on being awarded a U16 AAA franchise as well. With this addition, New Brunswick will now have four U16 AAA teams across the province, further strengthening the development pathway for athletes in New Brunswick.

This opportunity reflects the collective effort of many organizations and individuals who supported the need for this program. We would like to sincerely thank the Fredericton hockey community for their collaboration, feedback, and belief in building something meaningful for our athletes.
