Dear Champions Hockey community,

I’m pleased to announce the appointment of Gabe Guertler as Head of Player Development. A former Team USA, ECHL, NCAA Division I, OHL, and U SPORTS player, Gabe brings elite experience, clear communication, and a technical, detail-driven approach that’s already elevating our athletes. His ability to connect with players of all ages makes him an outstanding fit to lead our player-development programming.

This growth also complements the recent appointment of Matt Doherty as our regional lead in Miramichi, strengthening a shared development philosophy and aligned structure across the province. With leadership now in place across our key regions, Champions Hockey is positioned to deliver consistent, high-quality programming through a connected system that benefits athletes throughout New Brunswick.
